Auslogics Antivirus is a complex security solution for Windows operating systems, covering antivirus, privacy controls, and web security.

The program installation takes a very long time to complete, even on broadband, because the installing kit is basically a downloader that handles the process. Once installed, it has a comprehensive and well-designed wizard to help configure the program. Unlike many other applications, the setup can be configured according to the user knowledge, making it useful for both casual and advanced users.
The interface is divided into a large number of tabs, with main options in the upper part - Dashboard, Settings, and System Info - and the security ones in the left side.
The Antivirus option has three default levels of protection : Aggressive, Default, and Permissive, and can also be manually calibrated. It provides anti-phishing filters for Internet Explorer and Mozilla and several instant messengers.
Privacy control is focused on identity control, protecting the system from tracking cookies, scripts, and registry modifications.
An interesting option is the encryption. This is not targeted to disk-stored data protection, but to instant messenger communication, encrypting the data sent to Yahoo! Messenger and Windows Live Messenger.
Various options like reduced resources consumption (dubbed the Game/Laptop Mode) Home Network Scanning, and internet Search Advisor are also available.
Auslogics Antivirus 2011 is available for Windows 7, Vista, and Windows XP.

If Auslogics left out the toolbar, I would consider purchasing it. A good business would grant the user the 'option' of a toolbar, not just push it on them. I am still 'trying out' this product. My decision to purchase is already tainted by the toolbar, however in all fairness, I will go through the trial and see how well the software does. the 'trial' version is appreciated; that much must be said. Thank you.
